Playground Archive
Poster
Inspired by nostalgic magazines and older Arabic printed material, this archival poster explores artifacts from Abu Dhabi’s older playgrounds through bold typography, and graphic symbols. Focusing on play structures found throughout the city, it explores the disappearance of older public spaces and the memories attached to them.
Acting as an informational poster, the composition uses labelled markers linked to descriptions below, guiding viewers through each structure and its location while documenting personal reflections associated with interacting with them. Presented across multiple colour variations, the project references the visual language of children’s magazines, playground graphics, and printed educational material from earlier decades across the region.
